Wow, we were blown away by the flavor, quality, and portion size of our takeout meal this evening.

We ordered the vegetarian appetizer combination, pakoras and samosas. The 2 samosas were large and generously filled with potatoes and peas. The many pakoras were of course fried, but not the tiniest bit greasy and they were tasty! I dipped mine in the hot sauce, my husband preferred the sweeter tamarind (I presume).

He had the chana saag, which he loved but after such a filling appetizer, he saved nearly half of it for another meal. I tried the chicken tikka saag, absolutely intense and delicious flavors. I also saved nearly half! I guess the drawback to taking out as opposed to eating at the restaurant is that we tend not to pause between appetizer and main, so we get really full really fast!

Both entrees came with a very good, flavored rice. We also enjoyed a side of roti.

Definitely a place to come back to!

Absolutely delicious. Best Indian food in the city.

We're Indian and picky about our Indian food - and Karahi was the best we've had in the city. We got the shahi paneer and aloo saag for takeout, both perfectly seasoned and fresh. Naan and rice were also freshly made.

I'd highly recommend - delicious takeout during covid and can't wait til the restaurant is able to reopen.

Ordered from this place for the first time and loved it! Best South Asian restaurant I've found in Hells Kitchen. I ordered the samosa chat, lamb rogan josh, malai kofta, and butter chicken. All were excellent with lots of taste/flavor. Portions were also good size and at a reasonable price. Overall would definitely recommend and will order from them again. They're now my go-to spot for Indian/Pakistani eats in the area.

This place is amazing!! I'd give it 10 stars if I could, the prices are good for the dishes and you're getting quality authentic indian food. The owner was so nice and offered to make us anything we wanted even off menu and gave us extra rice for free. The best part was the garlic naan, it's so flaky and super fresh. If you're sharing get the bread basket and you can get 3 of whatever naans you want. The dishes themselves are super rich and aren't just cream substituted for spices. We didn't get a chance to take pictures because we were so hungry. We also tried their kulfi which was made in house and wow, it's the type of stuff you get in India. They're also sugar conscious so it doesn't overwhelm you. Definitely give that a try if you're in the mood for an Indian dessert!!

We also struck up a conversation with the owner at the end and I urge you to please support this business, they just opened in November and COVID hit them hard.

Finally, great Indian in Hell's Kitchen!

Extensive and easy to navigate menu. Great flavor in the breads and veg dishes. My order was cooked fresh and ready for takeout within 20 minutes.

I'll definitely come back for more bhindi masala, veg vindaloo, aloo paratha, and onion kukcha.

The owners (I'm assuming) were very welcoming and friendly. Exactly the kind of establishment that we should be supporting these days.

The food was packed well - an issue that I've had with other Indian restaurants in the area - and spiced appropriately. I even enjoyed the rice that came with each dish.

Very happy to have found this restaurant and will be back soon!

This is my new favorite Indian in the area.

Lamb tandoori was excellent. One of the best prepared lamb dishes that I've had in a while. Nice size shareable portion for approx $18.

Spinach paneer also excellent. Lots of cheese. So much cheese my son couldn't steal it all and leave me with only the spinach!

Coconut naan was a nice change from standard bread.

Nice clean modern interior. Fast & friendly service.

The lunch option is great, the staff is very courteous and focus is on quality and quantity both. The food is absolutely delicious with appropriate spice levels. I have tried the malai kofta and the baingan bhartha.

I come here at least once a week because I live in the area - sometimes more than once. I love the friendliness of the owner and the rest of the staff, and I think they even recognize my voice by now since I call in so much. The food is very tasty and some of the best Indian food I've had in New York. I really hope they can sustain themselves during this crisis because I would be heartbroken to see them go. 5 stars!
